De Diego a Leo — the story behind the design
A final can be lost. Football heritage cannot.
Argentina's number 10 is not a shirt number. It is a bloodline — an idea passed from one pair of feet to another across forty years, from a boy in Villa Fiorito to a boy from Rosario. De Diego a Leo is our attempt to draw that bloodline onto fabric.
Two halves, one line
Look closely at the shirt and you will find two hands at work. On one half, Maradona — instinct, chaos, the goal that needed no second touch. His figure is engraved into the cloth in fine sketch lines, the way legends are drawn in old newspapers. On the other half, Messi — geometry, patience, the low centre of gravity that bends defences quietly. Two eras, two temperaments, facing each other across the sky-blue and white stripes.
Between them runs a single muted-gold line. It never breaks. That line is the point of the whole design: the inheritance itself, the thing that passed from Diego to Leo without ever touching the ground.
Why we drew it this way
Most tribute shirts shout. They print faces in full colour and call it homage. We wanted the opposite — a shirt that whispers, that reveals itself at the second look. From three metres away, it is a clean Argentina concept jersey. From thirty centimetres, it is a story you can read: the sketched figures, the fine golden thread, the details hidden in the stripes.
That is the Kick Couture method. Every design begins as an essay like this one. The jersey is the merch of the idea.
How it is made
Each shirt is made to order in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Full sublimation printing means the design is dyed into the fabric itself — it will never crack or peel. Micro-mesh keeps it match-ready: this is a jersey built to be worn on real pitches, not folded into a drawer.
Because every piece is made when you order it, no two batches are ever quite the same run. Your shirt is produced for you, not pulled from a warehouse shelf.
